Get Ready, Gorgeous.
This is your no-panic, no-overthinking guide for your Vancouver Creative Call session. Read it once. Breathe. Pack your bag. Then come ready to play in the art.
Start HereFirst Things First
You do not need to know what you’re doing.
That is literally my job.
You do not need modelling experience. You do not need to practice poses in the mirror. You do not need to arrive as some perfectly polished version of yourself.
Come open. Come curious. Come willing to move, breathe, laugh, feel awkward for five seconds, and then realize you are actually kind of a damn masterpiece.
This is not about perfection. This is about presence.
The Quick Checklist
Pack these. Do these. Don’t panic.
Bring a robe plus slippers, slides, or easy slip-on shoes so you can stay comfy between sets.
Wear loose clothing on the way to your session to avoid marks from tight waistbands, bras, socks, or seams.
No spray tans. No tanning lotion. No last-minute bronzing experiments. Your real skin photographs beautifully.
Hair + Makeup
If you’re doing your own glam, keep it simple and intentional.
Professional hair and makeup is lovely, but it is not required. Natural is beautiful. My lighting is designed to flatter skin, mood, emotion, texture, and connection.
Wardrobe Ideas
Bring options. We’ll create the vibe together.
You do not need to bring a suitcase full of things, but options help us play. Choose pieces that feel like an extension of your personality, not a costume you think you “should” wear.
Very Important
Please do not do these things.
No spray tans or tanning lotion. They often photograph orange, patchy, muddy, or uneven under studio lighting, especially around hands, feet, knees, elbows, and skin folds.
No tight clothing on the way to your session. Bra marks, sock lines, leggings seams, and tight waistbands can linger on skin longer than you think.
No brand-new beauty experiments. This is not the week to try a new facial, peel, wax, self-tanner, or skincare product your skin has never met before.
No overthinking required. Truly. You will be guided through everything.
Before Your Session
Your tiny timeline of sanity.
Start gathering wardrobe options, remove tags, steam wrinkled items, confirm your route, and ask any questions you have.
Pack your bag, hydrate, moisturize, charge your phone, and get as much sleep as life allows. Please avoid alcohol or anything that makes you feel puffy, foggy, or not like yourself.
Eat something. Drink water. Wear loose clothing. Bring your robe, slippers or slides, wardrobe options, and a little trust in the process.
Behind The Scenes
This is a creative call, so we’ll also be creating content.
As part of this project, we will capture behind the scenes photos and video, outfit moments, movement, reactions, and pieces of the creative process.
You do not have to perform. You do not have to be “on.” I want the real experience: the nerves, the laughter, the transformation, the little holy shit moments.
This is part of helping future clients understand what this experience actually feels like.
Location + Arrival
New Vancouver Studio
Address:
1460 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC
Parking:
There is free street parking on that block and the surrounding few blocks when available.
If street parking is full, there is a paid parking lot under the Burrard Street Bridge, about a 1 minute walk from the studio.
When you arrive:
Please text me at 604-835-2747.
Please do not use the doorbell. Just text when you arrive and I’ll guide you from there.
Final Reminder
Come as you are. We’ll make the art from there.
You are allowed to be nervous. You are allowed to be excited. You are allowed to show up not knowing exactly what to do.
That’s the whole point. You don’t have to arrive transformed. You just have to arrive.
I cannot wait to create with you.
